Introduction

Orcus is a TypeScript SDK for interacting with supported AI services through their web interfaces.

Orcus provides TypeScript applications with a programmatic interface to supported AI services. Each SDK package handles provider-specific requests, authentication, response processing, and errors.

Available providers

Orcus provides dedicated SDK packages for:

  • Gemini - @orcushq/gemini
  • ChatGPT - @orcushq/chatgpt
  • DeepSeek - @orcushq/deepseek

Each package has its own authentication requirements, implementation, and supported features.

Provider implementations

Request formats, authentication, model identifiers, response structures, and available operations vary by provider. Features supported by one package are not necessarily available in another.

Authentication

Each provider package defines its authentication requirements. Depending on the integration, you may need session cookies or other session credentials instead of an API key. Configure credentials as required and keep them out of source control, logs, and public examples.

Responses and errors

Response fields, streaming behavior, and error types depend on the provider and operation. Handle successful responses and request failures according to each package’s API.

Limitations

  • Availability depends on the provider service.
  • Authentication credentials may expire or become invalid.
  • Provider protocol changes may affect compatibility.
  • Model availability and supported features vary by package.
